AEL Mining Services is a leading developer, producer and supplier of commercial explosives, initiating systems and blasting services for mining, quarrying and construction markets in Africa and Indonesia.
We are inviting qualified individuals to join our team for the following available position:
SITE MANAGER – (CODE: MGR - SM)
To be based at Separi site
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure company SHE Standards, Systems and Procedures are implemented and complied within applicable areas of control. Ensure quality safety plans for employees are in place and aligned with mine safety systems and procedures.
- To effectively manage all site personnel.
- To ensure that the parameters set by the performance contract (KPIs) and AEL is continuously measured and monitored with the objective of profitability and a long-term sustainability.
- To ensure that customer needs are satisfied by the deployment of safe, cost effective and satisfactory operations, and ensure that the appropriate standards, systems and procedures are implemented.
- Responsible for Quality of product delivered.
- Responsible for delivery of quality services.
- OTIF requirements by charging Unit(s) in line with customers KPI.
- Quality control of products and setting of procedures and methods pertaining to products.
- To efficiently and effectively manage the equipment performance and running costs.
- To seek opportunities to maximize production and take advantage of expansion opportunities where appropriate with existing customer.
- Keep up to date in new developments and provide assistance for new improvements.
- Manage and control fixed and operating costs within an agreed budget or objective.
- Responsible for training and development of subordinates and relevant customer personnel, ensuring that the customer develops a thorough understanding of emulsions and the maintenance and operation of the system.
- Implementation and /or maintenance of the world class system.
- Proactively communicate with internal related functional management.
- Maintenance of healthy customer relations at each site by regular contact with middle management on the mine site, weekly contact with senior mine management.
- Provide on bench assistance to the customers, as required.
- Attendance and co-ordination of weekly planning meetings, including updating of forecasts.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Technical Field/Engineering. Mining engineer is an advantage.
- At least 8 years of similar industry experience with at least 4 years blasting operation experience
- Hold valid POP to obtain POM certification.
- Hold blaster competency (KJL)
- Technical blasting knowledge.
- Good communication skills, in English and Bahasa Indonesia, as the incumbent is required to communicate to management level.
- Computer literacy.
- Driving license A.
