Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate is expected to support all COPI s offshore installations in Indonesian waters in the area of marine operations. Qualification & Experience:

• Education: BS in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering required, advanced degree in the same areas a plus.
• Candidate is expected to have solid technical understanding of the basic principles of naval architecture and/or ocean engineering; have 3~5 years of practical experience in oil or ship building industry; familiar with various types of offshore floating structures, especially FPSOs and FSOs. Pertinent experience in operation of FPSOs and FSOs is required.
• A minimum of a Chief Mate Class 1 Certificate of Competency with Tanker Endorsement (Oil).
• He is expected to have basic understanding of the design, fabrication and installation of offshore floating structures, such as semisubmersible, tension leg platforms and/or other types of floating structures, in addition to FPSOs and FSOs.
• In depth knowledge is required in the areas of vessel static and dynamic stability, hydrodynamics, vessel motion analysis and results interpretation, mooring design, installation and maintenance, principles and maintenance of flexible risers, turret and swivel, floating hoses, single point mooring buoys, marine hawsers, etc.
• Understanding of marine operations of working vessels, such as supply vessels, transportation barges and tugs is also required. He or she must be able to communicate in English with peers within COP and outside entities at sufficient technical levels.
• Experience in the use and auditing of Safety Management Systems as applied to Tankers.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal skill and team player with proactive approach to decision making process.
• A Tanker Endorsement (Gas) would also be desirable.

1. 2. Establishes safe and sound operations of the hydrocarbon fluid processing; that is to separate Oil, Gas, and its various wastes. It includes the certification of the facilities, and the safe disposal of the associated wastes that are in compliance with the QSHE regulations and standards of the Company; the Government s, the Underwriter s, as well as the worldwide respective industries best practices.
3. Ensures that the produced hydrocarbon is well transported, is safely stockpiled in the floating terminal, and to be finally exported as scheduled. This is also to ensure that the required documentation and the associated data is well managed, and easily be retrieved anytime it is needed.
4. Plans, developed and justifies the Production Operating budgets; that is to control its spending in order to make sure that the expenditures are on the optimum level of providing the highest ROI (Return On Investments) to the Company; it includes, but it is not limited to the establishment of a traceable, and an auditable administration means.
5. Plans and develops high quality manpower for both permanent and contract employees; it is to optimize the organization structure of the Division and to make sure the availability of the qualified personnel, with the required expertise, are adequate; well maintained, well maintained, well trained, as well as sufficiently enhanced to optimize their contributions to the company as a whole.
6. Breeds as well as disseminates QSHE better awareness within the Production Group; that is to ensure the solid understanding, bold commitments and true compliance with the QSHE standards of the Company, in addition to the utilization of appropriate risk assessment tools, such as HAZOPS, PSC, etc.
7. Nurtures and fostering high productive environment, whilst to keep on improving, innovating, or even breaking thru the existing work methods where possible; in the spirit of continuous improvement.


• University degree (S1) in Engineering preferably majoring in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or equivalent.

• Bachelor degree in Geosciences with minimum of 15 years of experience of working in Exploration Department. A higher degree in Geosciences is preferred, but not mandatory.
• More than 15 years experience in oil and gas industry with at least 10 years of supervisory experience including leading related geological and geophysical projects.
• Well-developed supervisory skills for field acquisition of 2D and or 3D seismic activities as well as processing technique.
• Familiar with unrelated geological provinces to map successfully and increasingly subtle traps.

Position requirements
A University degree in Engineering (preferable Mechanical or Chemical) is a prerequisite. You should have minimum 3 to 5 years in Oil & Gas field as Facilities Engineer or Process Engineer. Knowled9e on onshore and offshore facilities design, subsea equipment, pipelines including flow assurance is preferred. Experience in leading and directing specialist and engineering contractors is desirable.

You must be a good communicator with highly effective multi-disciplinary team working skills. An experience in a production plant is a plus and you have to be capable to organize your job autonomously according to the requirements of ongoing operations.

You are required to be skilful in standard software such as MS office suite and having practical experience using facilities engineering software packages (i.e, Hysys dynamic & static process modeling, Flarenet, MS project). Basic understanding of budget and cost estimates preparation is a plus with strong influential and presentation skills.

Position responsibilities
Your role will involve following up the facilities studies from the evaluation phase to the selection and execution of the optimum project development option. Your skills must include understand the contractors’ documents during pre - FEED and FEED activities (PFD, P&ID, etc). Your capability to discuss with local authorities during Plan of Development preparation and approval for all the facilities topics is required.
