A long established provider of goods and services to the Oil & Gas, Mining and Construction industries with principal facilities located in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan is currently looking for senior manager to fill the following position:
HUMAN RESOURCES & GENERAL AFFAIRS MANAGER
Responsibilities:
• Will be reporting directly to the Directors and General Manager.
• Responsible for day to day functioning of HR Department activites related to Recruitment, Performance, Training, Evaluation & Appraisals, Motivating and Retaining Employees.
• Dispute Settlement & Industrial Relations. Counselling, warning, retrenchment.
• Should be able to oversee workforce of 300 people employed permanently or contract basis for main office, site offices and for project site placements.
• To inform Senior Management Team of new or revised government laws and regulations which are applicable to or have an impact on the organization and demonstrates the ability to provide useful and strategic advice and input.
• Expertise in employment law and employee relations and communications.
• Reponsible for a comprehensive employee personnel records system for all employees, regardless of category of employment, including personnel action forms, pay history, performance evaluations, promotions, market adjustments, merit increases and bonuses.
• Assists in the implementation and application of new and existing personnel policy.
• Maintenance of corporate licenses, liaise with Notaris as required for changes to the Akta.
• Communication with Land Department, Harbour Master and Mayoral Office, etc.
• Controlling work permits and travel documents for expatriate managers.
• Able to properly instruct a legal representative when required.
• Controlling outsourced corporate security.
Requirements:
• Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law or Human Resource, preferably with experience working in Mining and Oil & Gas industries.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of Indonesian labour regulations and of local labor authorities – depnaker / disnaker / immigrasi / labour unions
• Should possess the intelligence and analytical thinking skills to meet the challenges of HRGA management role.
• Have good leadership, strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Perseverance and ability to work under pressure. Clear thinking and common sense.
• English proficiency is a must, both oral and written.
• This position is based in Balikpapan but some traveling to sites may be necessary.
