Seismic Acquisition Coordinator
(Jakarta Raya)

Responsibilities:

  • Overview Positions: This is a single position that will remain open until filled.


  • Responsibilities: Jakarta-based coordinator for all seismic acquisition activities. Coordination includes interface among seismic acquisition requestor (Operating Unit customer), seismic acquisition contractor, field-based QC contractors, explosives contractor, Sumatra Geophysical Services team, and Jakarta Earth Science Operations team. This coordinator role will involve frequent trips to the operations area during acquisition. Coordination will include planning, contracting, field operations, and operations look-back phases.


  • Detailed Qualification:
    • Minimum 5 years of field seismic operations QC, preference given to onshore experience.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Health, Environment, and Safety planning, documentation, and monitoring.
    • Proficient with Landmark and/or Petrel data management, seismic processing, and/or interpretation systems.
    • Familiar with Oil & Gas Operations, Seismic Processing & Interpretation, Advanced Geology & Geophysics.
    • Able to identify and resolve issues and problems with minimal supervision.
    • Strong in exploiting technology by challenging paradigms; think expansively and evaluate multi-solutions
    • Education Requirement: S1 Degree (S2/Master Degree will be an advantage)
  • Education Discipline: Geophysics Engineering
  • GPA: 2.75
  • Work Location: Jakarta with field visits to Riau and West Papua

Requirements:

  • General Qualifications
    • Minimum GPA 2.75 out of 4.00
    • S1 Degree (S2/Master degree will be an advantage)
    • At least 10 years experience in Oil and Gas Industry
    • Willing to relocate to any of Chevron operations locations (East Kalimantan/Riau/Jakarta)

    • Technical Proficiency related to education background and current/previous experiences
    • Team player and relationship builder for personal results, personal and unit’s benefit
    • Using company tools, processes and procedures
    • Strong communications skills – orally and writing including presentation skills
    • Customer focus
    • Computer literacy (Office and Geophysical/Geological applications)
    • Strong in taking initiative to prevent and resolve issues
    • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations

    • Daily Discipline – arrival, departure, meetings, etc.
    • Meeting personal due dates for projects – usually short term by managing own time
