OPERATIONS DEPARTMENTS
1. General Operator – Condensate
Primary Purpose of the job
  • Monitors and carries out the operation of condensate refinery units including static and rotating equipment such as towers, vessel, reactors, furnaces, heat exchangers, pump, compressors, fin fans and water condenser, includes regular monitoring of normal operations, start-up/shutdown, various equipment/furnaces/pumps/exchangers etc. adjusting various parameters to maintain equipments in synchronization.
  • Analyzed field log reading and report any anomalies observed. Assist shift Supervisor in safe, smooth and efficient functioning the plant.
Requirements
  • Division : Condensate Refinery.
  • Experience : 7 years of operations experience in multiple units in refinery.
  • Degree : Higher Secondary Certificate (Technical HighSchool) or equivalent with 2 years technical training or equivalent.
  • Special Ability :
  • Good knowledge in basic arithmetic.
  • Team leadership skills.
  • High level concentration, anticipation, surveillance / vigilance and analysis skills.
  • Fire fighting/First Aid/BA/H2S training.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant process units.
  • Knowledge in operation of Condensate Distillation Unit, Naphtha Hydrotreater Unit, CCR Platforming Unit, Distillate Hydrotreating Unit, and Stabilized Condensate Unit.
2. Shift Supervisor – Condensate
Primary purpose of the job
  • Shift supervisor directs and controls the operations of the Condensate Refinery on 24 hrs basis (Unit - 61, 62, 63,64, 65) with an objective to strive for the highest possible production while minimizing the potential for occupational accidents.
  • Assumes overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation. Responsible for all activities of operations which includes checking of plant equipment, adjustment in operating parameters and quality control of products. Guides the team during critical activities like plant start-up, shutdown and emergencies. Coordinates and follow up on all maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Division : Condensate Refinery.
  • Experience : Minimum 8 years of operations experience in refinery with 3 years of experience in supervisory level.
  • Degree : Chemical engineering or equivalent.
  • Special Ability : - Able to generate reports & use customized software.
  • Strong Leadership, quick troubleshooting skills, sharp analytical, and computer skills.
  • Ability to interact and coordinate positively within & other departments in a direct and professional manner.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant process units.
  • Knowledge in operation of Condensate Distillation Unit, Naphtha Hydrotreater Unit, CCR Platforming Unit, Distillate Hydrotreating Unit, and Stabilized Condensate Unit.
3. Operator 1 – Crude
Primary purpose of the job
  • Carries out field operation of assigned processing units in Crude Refinery including static and rotating equipment such as towers, vessels, reactors, furnaces, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, fin fans and water condensers. Includes regular monitoring of normal operations, start-up / shutdown of various equipment / furnaces / pumps / exchangers etc, adjusting various parameters to maintain equipment / unit in synchronization. Overall custodian of his assigned unit.
  • Log field readings and reports any anomalies observed to General Operator. Assist Shift Supervisor in safe, smooth and efficient functioning of the plant.
Requirements
  • Division : Crude Refinery.
  • Experience : 7 years of operations experience in refinery.
  • Degree : Higher Secondary Certificate (Technical HighSchool) or equivalent with 2 years technical training or equivalent.
  • Special Ability :
  • Good knowledge in basic arithmetic.
  • Fire fighting/First Aid/BA/H2S training.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant process units.
  • Knowledge in operation of Crude Distillation, LGO Hydrotreater, Amine Treating Unit, LPG Recovery, Naphtha Hydrotreater, CCR/Platformer Unit, Fuel Gas System.
4. Field Operator 1 – Condensate
Primary purpose of the job
  • Carries out field operation of assigned processing units in Condensate Refinery including static and rotating equipment such as towers, vessels, reactors, furnaces, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, fin fans and water condensers. Includes regular monitoring of normal operations, start-up / shutdown of various equipment / furnaces / pumps / exchangers etc, adjusting various parameters to maintain equipment / unit in synchronisation. Overall custodian of his assigned unit.

5. Field Operator 1 – Fluid Catalytic Cracking
Primary purpose of the job
  • Carries out field operation of the assigned processing units in RFCC Unit (U 41) and Power Generation Package (5105 U) under the guidance of General Operator. The job includes regular communication with the panel operator, inspecting and monitoring of various equipment, executing the start up, shutdown of rotary and static equipment, furnaces, exchangers etc., hand-over equipment for maintenance and taking over from maintenance.
  • Reports to Shift Supervisor and receives instructions from Shift Supervisor during assigned shifts. Works in accordance with in established operating procedures, and work instructions. Fills log books and log sheets as per IMS procedure. Work accomplishments are subject to review and direction.
Requirements
  • Division : RFCC (Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracking).
  • Experience : 7 years of operations experience in refinery.
  • Degree : Higher Secondary Certificate (Technical High School)
  • Special Ability :
  • Good knowledge in basic arithmetic.
  • Fire fighting/First Aid/BA/H2S training.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant process units.
  • Knowledge in operation of RFCC Unit, Power Co-generation ~ 15MW, Fuel Gas Treatment Unit for Environmental Protection, Heat Recovery, and Steam Boiler.
6. Field Operator 1 – Product Treatment
Primary purpose of the job
  • Carries out field operation of the assigned processing units in RFCC Product Treatment Units (U42, U43, U44, U45, and U46). The job includes regular communication with the panel operator, inspecting and monitoring of various equipment, executing the start up, shutdown of rotary and static equipment, furnaces, exchangers etc., hand-over equipment for maintenance and taking over from maintenance.
  • Reports to Shift Supervisor and receives instructions from Shift Supervisor during assigned shifts. Works in accordance with in established operating procedures, and work instructions. Fills log books and log sheets as per IMS procedure. Work accomplishments are subject to review and direction.

  • Division : FCC (Fluid Catalytic Cracking) Complex / Product Treatment.
  • Experience : 7 years of operations experience in refinery.
  • Degree : Higher Secondary Certificate (Technical High School) or equivalent.
  • Special Ability :
  • Good knowledge of basic arithmetic.
  • Fire fighting/First Aid/BA/H2S training.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant process units.
  • Knowledge in operation of Gasoline Merox Unit, LPG Merox Unit, LPG Catalytic Polymerization Unit, Gasoline Hydrofinishing Unit, and LCO Hydrotreating Unit.
7. Operator 1 – Various
Primary purpose of the job
Responsible for the field operation of Utilities ( Unit-51, Unit-52, Unit-53, Unit-22, Unit-24, Unit-54, Unit-10), including all the equipments such as Columns, vessels, reactors, heat exchangers, air and water cooler, pumps, compressors, filters and valves. Includes regular monitoring of operating conditions, start up/ shutdown, emergency handling of all the equipments in the assigned units. Adjusting various operating parameters as per the direction of Panel Operator/ Shift Supervisor. Assumes overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation with the objective of highest possible production.

Requirements
  • Division : Sulfur Complex & Utilities.
  • Experience : 7 years of operations experience in refinery.
  • Degree : Higher Secondary Certificate (Technical High School) or equivalent.
  • Special Ability : - Good knowledge in basic arithmetic.
  • Fire fighting/First Aid/BA/H2S training.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant process units.
  • Knowledge in operation of Boiler and Feed Water Unit, Nitrogen and Air System, Cooling Water System, Waste Water Treatment Plant, Raw Water System, Fuel Gas and Hydrogen.
8. Panel Operator – Condensate
Primary purpose of the job
  • Responsible for control room panel operation through Distributed Control System of assigned Condensate Refinery Units during normal operation, start-up, shutdown and emergency situations. Operates and manages process parameters of number of units at the same time. Takes fast and accurate actions to keep the units under optimum conditions minimizing wastage of hydrocarbon through slopping and flaring. He is a central contact point and all communications to the field is made through him.
  • Panel Operator’s role is extremely critical during emergencies (like leak / fire) whereby all announcements / information is passed by him through the radio.
Requirements
  • Division : Condensate Refinery.
  • Experience : 7 years of operations experience in refinery.
  • Degree : Higher Secondary Certificate (Technical High School) or equivalent with 2 years technical training or equivalent.
  • Special Ability :
  • Good knowledge in basic arithmetic.
  • Solid knowledge of DCS/Panel Operations
  • Fire fighting/First Aid/BA/H2S training.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant process units.
