An Established Oil Company (PSC) in Indonesia is searching a qualified candidates for:
TECHNICAL WRITER
The Technical Writer will be a member of the Indonesia Deepwater Development team and will facilitate the preparation of various project documents including letters, presentations, procedures, reports, specifications, and contracts. Such facilitation may include assisting team members in planning, organizing, writing, and/or proofreading documents, and also in preparing charts or forms to accompany the documents.
The Technical Writer may be asked to coordinate and manage the project procedures, including facilitating team members in the identification and preparation of the procedures. In addition, the Technical Writer may need to occasionally translate documents from Bahasa Indonesia to English.
This position reports to the Indonesia Business Manager and will be based in Jakarta.
Qualification and experience requirements as follows:
• Degree qualified in Science, Engineering, English, or Journalism
• Minimum 5 years experience in a writing role
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and write technical and business documents
• Able to read, write, and speak fluent English; ability to read Bahasa Indonesia
• Must be proficient in common business software (especially the Microsoft Office Suite)
• Knowledge of the construction industry or oil and gas industry would be advantageous
• The basic role of the Technical Writer is to help the rest of the Team create documents (business procedure, letter, technical draft) in flawless English
• Excellent command in English/ Indonesia, both oral and written
• Overseas graduate is preferred
