G-Resources is an Asia-Pacific gold company, based and listed in Hong Kong, and is operating the Martabe Gold Mine in North Sumatera. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, processes in excess of 4.5mtpa to produce greater than 250,000 ounces of gold and 3 million ounces of silver annually. To strengthen the existing management team and to ensure the achievement of the company objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:
LAND MANAGEMENT SUPERINTENDENT (CR 0107) This position will be based in Martabe Site and reports directly to the Community Relations Manager.
The role of the Land Management Superintendent is responsible :
• Either for the completion process of the land acquisition and ensure all land acquisition and uses are in accordance with applicable government regulations, or securing the land acquired from any illegal occupancy or cultivator. The skill of managing conflict caused by the land issues is a must since the operations used to be disrupted either because of the illegal land ownership or overlapping land ownership which ended with disputes. Besides, many land claimers sued management even after the area be mind.
• Maintain and established good and professional relationship with local government institutions and government land team is an obligation to this position.
Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
1. Bachelor Degree in Law, Geography or Social Science, preferably Master Degree in Law.
2. Minimum 10 years experience of Land Acquisition, preferably experience in Mining Company.
3. Have a self-motivation discipline and ability to work as a Team Leader as well as a part of the team.
4. Sufficient knowledge on the applicable regulations particularly on land administration.
5. Good communication and report writing skills in Indonesian and English languages.
6. Have a good, strong, pleasant and professional personality, with ability to easily adopt with changing government institution environment.
7. Willing to work on high pressure conditions.
8. Able to work and under control in an outrageous situation especially when dealing with community.
9. An understanding of the principles and practices of demographic research and analysis would be desirable.
