Senior Project Engineer

Job Description:

• To ensure that the assigned Small Projects are managed and executed in an expedient, cost effective and safe manner. Quality of works shall comply with the applicable Company standards and requirements, and international codes:
• Undertaking Front End Loading (FEL) projects – screening of options, appraising them, and optimizing and refining the selected option for project execution.
• Interface with Asset Operations, Ventures and other in-house and external support disciplines to align project objectives, goals and deliverables, and deliver the project(s) on time and on budget.
• Responsibility for developing FEL reports that include technical analysis, implementation plans and cost estimates up to +/- 10% accuracy for onward AFE proposals and project phase rulings.
• Deriving the WBS for project valuing, and adapt system for cost and schedule measurements.
• Plan and promote all works to be implemented in a safe manner in and in compliance to the Small Project Management System and Company’s HSE objectives and policies.
• Responsibility for obtaining/ coordinating Internal and External AFEs. The responsibility demands interfacing with Asset Operations, Ventures, Partners and BPMIGAS.
• Interfacing with the Procurement Department to develop bid documents, technical and financial scopes of work for materials purchasing and/ or securing service contracts related to the assigned project(s).
• Guiding and mentoring less experienced team members with portfolio undertakings – performing project reviews, technical quality checking and steering team members toward achieving their project deliverables safely and swiftly.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor Degree in chemical Engineering/similar.
- More than 10 years Facilities Engineering and/ or Project Engineering experience

Required Project Management Skills:

- Project management knowledge and experience, including:
- Development of project master schedule and analysis, e.g. critical path method.
- Development of WBS and Scheduling.
- Capable of identifying project risks, and develop risk mitigations and contingency plans.
- Experience in leading/ undertaking oil and gas projects in FEL format.
- Basic awareness/ understanding of all key disciplines interfacing with project engineering.
- Experience in onshore and offshore project environment.

Required/ Preferred Engineering Design Skills:

- Basic Level of facility engineering and process safety:
- Hydrocarbon processing systems and process equipment and piping systems.
- Process control and electrical systems.
- Risk Assessment.
- Process hazard analysis – HAZOP, HAZID, SIL and What-If?
- Job Safety Analysis.
- Operations & Maintenance appreciation.
- Familiar with national and international industrial codes and standards.

Required/ Preferred Fabrication and QC Skills:

- Exposure to Fabrication, Construction and Installation works:
- Reviewing and enforcing contractors’ HSE and QC systems and plans for. fabrication, testing and installation activities inline with applicable company policies and standards.
- Reviewing and validating material/ equipment fabrication and testing certification compiled by contractors.
- Familiar with Permit to Work System.

Required/ Preferred Engineering Documentation & Specification Skills:

- Specifying and coordinating development of project documentation:
- Specify, review and validate engineering drawings and plans, datasheets and contract specifications with EPCI contractors and fabricators engineering design firms and vendors.

1. GM Government Relations

Champion the Government Relations function to ensure that resourceful networking relationship with the relevant ministries, government related parties, Oil & Gas industry and local authorities has been explored and nurtured so as to facilitate effective business operations and growth.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities
• Foster and enhance close working and social relationship with key senior officials of Pertamina, BPMigas, MIGAS, Energy & Mining Department and other relevant oil & gas government agencies.
• Ensure that the Social, Security & Licensing function sustains growth by contributing to the development of local communities and promotion of high standard of health, safety and environment by complying with government regulations and policies.

2. Senior Drilling Manager

Responsible for all drilling engineering activities which include well, rig inspection, pressure control, well design, prepare drilling programmes, drilling of wells, workover operations under the supervision of Subsurface Manager. Ensure the Company s operations are achieving business objectives and schedule completion, efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Rig inspection and mob/demob of rig.
• Drill string design and drilling hydraulics calculations.
• Choosing drill and core bits, well deviation calculations, fishing.
• Design and monitor the drilling of wells and other rig based activities such as workovers.
• Prepare well design summaries and detailed drilling programmes.
• Providing QA/QC support to all operational activities within the wells team.
• Operate within the procurement process to identify and obtain the most cost effective materials for the drilling campaign.
• Locate and appraise new technology and equipment for most cost effective operation.
• Track and monitor contractors performance against their commitments to the drilling plan and delivering well safely, on time, within budget, fit for purpose and meeting all objectives.
• Identify any variation in the schedule and the planned schedule and undertakes an analysis and modification to the drilling plan. Discuss activities with the rig and identify action to be taken on any variances to the plan.
• Planning of operations with due regard to safety of personnel, the environment and equipment.
• Ensure that the contractors are meeting their obligations in terms of staff, equipment and material to perform the agreed contractual obligations adequately.
• Prepare/review and complete end of well reports.
• Coordinate a team (G&G, RE and PT personnel, contractors and service company personnel) to conduct all well related operations from initial design and construction phases through to well delivery and end of well reports.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of work experience with a strong operating company.
• Relevant hands on experience in all aspects of related drilling activities as mentioned above.
• Knowledge and understanding of well pressure control (blowout prevention, drilling and coring bits, well deviation, fishing, drilling locations for exploration ventures in remotes areas, derrick loading determination, calculation of maximum allowable wear of Kelly, drill string design, calculation of loads in wire, drilling hydraulics calculations, calculation of dogleg angle and severity, calculation of bore hole position and fishing.
• Possess good analytical drilling engineering skills.
• Written and oral communication, presentation and reporting skills are also essential to ensure effective deployment and utilization of the Exploration & Development Department deliverables.
• Strong leadership capability and ability to coach and mentor junior team members.

Senior Internal Auditor

Function:

The main focus of the position of Senior Internal Auditor is to audit the activities of various Newmont Mining Corporation departments and entities to determine adherence to established plans, policies, procedures and good business practices. Fulfills team leader role on certain audits without direct supervision and participates in more complex audits under the direction of an internal Audit Manager or Internal Audit Supervisor. Trains and supervises the activities of start auditors.

Main duties:

Under general supervision, performs the following functions:
• Performs assignments requiring understanding and application of audit principles, practices, and concepts.
• Assist in devising own methods to accomplish audits.
• Assist in planning work on assigned segments of the audit and in determining the extent of audit testing and workpaper content.
• Review transactions, documents, records, reports, processes, and procedures and prepare audit workpapers, recording and summarizing date.
• Discuss audit findings with operating personnel to verify facts and obtain background information to support conclusions and reach agreement with client.
• Assist as requested with the summarization of audit findings and the preparation of format audit reports.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations of audit results.

Working conditions:

The role is based in Jakarta, However, it requires extensive travel to Batu Hijau, Sumbawa (80% or more). Additional travels over extended periods of 3-4 weeks in duration to domestic and foreign locations may be required to conduct audits. Conditions may be primitive at times.

Qualification

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Administration and between 2 to 4 years of public accounting or auditing experience or between 3 to 5 years of relevant commerce internal audit experience.
• CPA or equivalent designation.
• Big 4 accounting firm and senior in charge role experience preferred.
• Familiar with Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
• Knowledge of the mining industry is essential.
• Requires a high level of technical skills in internal control and auditing techniques.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• You must be a confident individual who is capable of engaging senior leaders across the business.
